I’ve mostly given up on fighting against people’s and organization’s obsession with processes here in Europe. Agile, A/B testing, CI et cetera. All these things I call “Work about work”. No one wants to do what is really necessary: make sure you have mostly A-players, come to work and kick ass. Have leadership that understands that if the basis of your business is built upon technology, you should probably pay to get great tech people, trust them and make them want to stay.
No one wants to confront the fact that what is missing is actual leadership and giving a damn.
